Friday Five

Hello Lovelies:

Without further ado...

1. The US Open
I was in New York earlier in the week for work and tickets literally fell into my lap Monday afternoon.  I was ecstatic as I had not been in 16 years (heeey 1997!) and I love me some Grand Slam tennis.  It is a special place and did not disappoint - we got to see Serena play Schiavione  where Serena killed her 6-0, 6-1, but it was a really well played game.  Too bad Federer was a rain out.  Oh, but I did get to see Lenny open, he was short, but fab.

2. t+j Designs
I was innocently perusing this gal's blog and BAM it hit me like a train!  Two baubles later (on sale plus 20% off) I there pretties are en route to mama:

3. The Shandy Whitman (this one is a few weeks old!)
How adorable and clever is this little homage to my dad?  The mustache is spot on and I am so glad he has such a sense of humor!  Not to mention our dear friends at Keegan Ales are hilarious with adorable graphics!

4. The Beach
Our 2013 love affair is coming to a close, but I plan to milk every last second out of this weekend...as I have all summer long. Summer Bucket list update to follow.

5. Wyatt
I am going to start calling him "Mittens McGee" as boyfriend is a scratcher.  But would you look at that head of hair?!  #swoon

Cheers to a fabulous weekend!

XOXO,
KW

My Friday 5!

Happy Friday Lovelies!

Another crazy week comes to an end and I will say it did FLY by for moi, just not enough hours to get it all done!!

So without further ado....

1.  Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Shine City has been my everyday go to for years and apparently it's GONE from the shelves (at least here in Boston). They have redone the packaging the "new" shade is now called Snow Pink .  I picked one up at CVS last night (it was marked down to $6.99 AND I got $4.00 in Extra Buck with purchase, SCORE!).  It is OK, thicker than Shine City, but does the trick.  I love me some sheer sparkle gloss.

2. Along with the new gloss I decided today's outfit should be wholly office inappropriate (at least Monday through Thursday in my book - even though we have a pretty casual spot, I dress at least four days a week).  Cue Coral skinnies, HUGE sock bun (inspired by an IG pic from this girl last night), glitter Jacks, big fat rhinestone earrings and aforementioned gloss.  #sparklesmakeeverythingbetter

I am telling you, by far the BEST and happiest purchase of the summer.  Go get some, now.

3. Orange is the New Black.  Late to the party, but fell down that rabbit hole on Tuesday. Color me OBSESSED!  I LOVE all of the character, especially Red.

4. Mom and Dad are coming to visit this weekend.  Cue Farmer's Market, lots of beach time, dinner in the North End and who knows what else.  Heading to K-town with them on Sunday to go to the Duchess County Fair (MILKSHAKES!) and into the City Monday AM for work for a few days.

5. And Finally -CWD is in "non-active" labor.  My nephew is snug as a bug for the moment, but he will be making his appearance within a week.  Woot! Let the monogramming begin!

Have FABULOUS weekends and wear as much white, seersucker and Lilly as possible - sadly that window's coming to a close!!!

XOXO,
KW

Friday, Friday, Gotta Get Down on Friday....

Happy Friday Lovelies!

I KNOW all you Rebecca Black fans out there now have that ditty stuck in your heads.  You're welcome! ;)

I was inspired by Miss April  to get down on this Friday and do a little post about what I have been groovin' on recently, so without further ado....

1. The Farmer's Market
It is no secret that I love me a trapse around a Farmer's Market and I am so lucky to have Dewey Square a mere steps from my office and Copley Square and SOWA super close to my apartment. I have made it my goal to attempt to eat 80% of my meals from fresh local produce while the gettin' is good over the next few months (I can not EVEN go into how it is already August, a BAD WORD in my book!).  Sure it is a little more spendy than the grocery store, but very worth it in my opinion. Tonight's caprese is going to be extra awesome with homemade pesto from the scads of basil I procured!

2.  My Weekend
I have been going a zillion miles an hour for the past month and I am excited that I have zero set plans this weekend with the exception of a party tonight; where I will be bringing the aforementioned caprese.  And wine. #duh.

3. Pillows
My (not so anymore) new couch is in need a of a little oomph and I think this (literally) has my name on it (well, once I turn it into a K)

4. My Imaginary Well-Dressed Toddler Daughter
Tiffany Beveridge is a genius! Quinoa  can do no wrong in my book.

"Wait, Farro. We don't run after the ice cream truck.
We wait for the ice cream truck to come to us." - Quinoa

5. Drunk History on Comedy Central
Just discovered this last night and I am hooked. Ashamed to say, I actually learned some stuff!  Patty Hearst is my fave.

Wishing you all FABULOUS weekends!

XOXO,
